How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Phew! Tomorrow is my last day of class, woo hoo! (But that means critique is tomorrow, ahh! D: ) I've been in Graphic Design 1 this block, and its been tough. As a painter, it was really difficult getting used to Illustrator and doing everything in such a simple way. I may upload two or so of my projects, but for the most part they are not really worth showing in a gallery like this, haha xD

Anyway, that is where I have been! Busy busy busy.

Oh, and on top of class, I've been working off and on with one of my friends who commissioned me to do an oil portrait of her as a Christmas gift to her mom, so I will be uploading pictures of that tonight or tomorrow, depending on when my other friend can give me the photos of it (she has a better camera than me xD).

I finally feel like I'm starting to make it in the art world. I know I still have a loooong way to go before I'm completely satisfied with my work, but I'm getting to the point where people think I am worth commissioning! I recently got a huge influx of commissions from real-life and online people, which is extremely exciting for me.

However, this means I will be very busy this Christmas break! xD

As soon as I get home tomorrow, I have to go buy 3 large-ish canvases for a tryptic I am doing for my cousin and her husband (so fun!), and I need to sketch out some thumbnails for a few short story covers I am doing (omg!). I've got to finalize a promo poster for an indie fantasy comic book I am an artist for (squee!), and get the reference photos for a portrait I've been commissioned to do of my Great Uncle (oh boy!). Inbetween these projects I will be finishing the image for *Black-Wing24 for buying me my subscription, and working on a series of paintings I started before all these commissions appeared xD.

I love being an artist!
