My intuos3 is still sitting over at Wacom.
BUT I GOT A NEW INTUOS4 :'DDDDD it just came in the day before yesterday, and I was playing with it and having tons of fun yesterday hee x333 I was so excited!
I got a really good deal on it so I pounced. :3 I got my Large intuos4 (which costs $409) AND corel painter 11 (which costs $319) for the price of just the tablet :333 yay student discounts!!
Anyway Im going to be churning out some of these sketch commissions that are listed below :3
ALSO EVERYONE SHOULD GO GET A DUCT TAPE WALLET YOU KNOW YOU WANT ONE <3 [link]
Well, dad wasn't able to fix it. I tried to get him to try again but he wont. So he called Wacom to see if they could send him a $15 replacement power cord, but apparently they cant do that. I have to send my tablet all the way to California just so they can take out 4 screws, plug in a new wire, and put the screws back in. $55, for a 5 minute job my dad could do himself. AND now I have to wait a couple weeks on top of that.
This is the cord [link]
its an intuos3 USB cable, if anyone knows where I can buy one online please let me know. tablet4u isn't selling them anymore and Wacom doesn't have them on their website, but it'd be much nicer to just buy the cord rather than send it all the way to California. :/
My tablet is currently completely taken apart. xD
..dunno why they're showing up transparent xD oh well, just click them and you can see the full picture. anyway. Over the past 3 years of using my baby without a proper desk to place it on, and thus having to hold it in my lap, the ground wire (the silver colored wire shown) has disintegrated from being twisted, bent, and rotated every which way. The other wires are fine, but the tablet wont work without the ground wire.
The only reason my tablet was able to work for so long was because the disintegrated pieces were still stuck inside the wire, and so when the cord was held in a certain position, the pieces would still touch eachother and it would work...however, a few days ago it started to not even work that way..so I asked my dad to see if he could fix it, since he has worked as an electrician and has worked with machinery all his life. He said that when he opened up the wire the ground wire fell out like snowflakes, it was so finely ground up in there. xD my poor baby!
Anyway, yep..no digital art until my dad is either able to fix it, or I have to get a new tablet. xD IVE BEEN SO BORED WITHOUT MY BABY OMG YOU GUYS D:
I'll see if I can take some more pictures of the inside of the tablet later, its covered up right now so no one touches the giant motherboard chip thing inside it xD
That is all. :3
