Feature!
:iconalhilton:alhilton is a wonderful author who has built a fantastic and emotionally engaging world of fawn-like creatures called "Shelts." It is an illustrated, full-cast audio book series that is available for free on her website or on iTunes! Click here for Cowry Catchers!! NSFW.. Enjoy!

Refs Needed

Hello, are you still there? lol
-
Hmm. I'm not sure if I'm going to do it or not yet, but I have a project I would like to attempt to do, but I need some help deciding on the subject.

Sooo, if you guys would please, link me to some pictures of interesting looking animals that you don't often see in art!

OR, link me to a few pictures of interesting looking people/settings, or even some pictures of yourself would work!

As an aside, if any of you know of some good pastel tutorials (of the dry variety), that would be wonderful!

Thanks in advance! :D

Did You Notice?

A bit off topic, but I was wondering if any of you noticed the extra goodies I have to the left side of my journal now? There are links to where I can be found online such as my FA account, LJ, FB, and so on, as well as a special feature! Currently it is for a free audio book series that I am very much in love with at the moment, but I will be changing this and adding a new feature occasionally, so keep an eye out!

Alright, that's all for now I suppose! Byebye!

You could do an Ant Lion. I haven't seen them done in a while. I think the larval form that makes a pit for ants to fall in would be the most interesting form to do. [link]

I guess the best inspiration comes from looking at what's around you just a little harder than you normally do!

The African white scops owl ( and it's many forms LOL ) aren't often something I see - and it's one of my favorite animals XD If you look on youtube, you can see a video of it - search "Transformer Owl" LOL

AREN'T THEY JUST?? I saw them on a National Geographic special and just adore them.
Yeah I was gone for pretty much all of 2010. It was a lousy year. :tears: I had a major friend falling out, got diagnosed with an untreatable genetic disease, and lost my house to foreclosure.
BUT, I'm doing pretty good now. I'm preparing for a cross country move that I hope will be therapeutic. Also I'll be able to go to cons and things like that which I've only ever dreamed of.
Lately my biggest problem is dealing with tracing teenagers. :iconfacepalmplz: I'm thinking about unwatching every single group I'm in, seriously.
Other than that I'm working on a huge project that I have a journal posted up about.
IRL, doing okay. There are days my joints don't want to work very well, but I'm alive. My kids are great, and I love my hubby as much now after 10 years as I ever did. So, packing is hectic, but things are good. I'm actually pretty excited.

Oh man, sounds like you've been through a rough time D: but I'm really glad things are starting to look up for you!!

My life has been a little bit less dramatic, but just as chaotic! Working really hard on college, constantly scouting forums and such looking for possible art jobs, working on portfolio artwork hoping to create work that makes me more desirable as an artist, planning the future, saving money for a car and future visits with my boyfriend, spending time with my family, etc etc etc xD Life is crazy, isn't it!
